THE WORK

From vision
to implementation.

Built IBuySpy before ASP.NET’s public release, learning the technology entirely from Microsoft’s individual development specifications. With no public ASP.NET books or demo applications to work from, I brought the specifications together into a working application.

I worked alongside Scott Guthrie on the ASP.NET demo application Bill Gates used onstage to introduce the platform to the development community. Built in C# and VB.NET, the application translated an emerging technology into a practical example developers could understand.

That experience launched my career in technical writing and conference speaking, and still shapes how I approach unfamiliar technology: understand the building blocks, connect them to a purpose, and make the possibilities tangible.
